Jennifer
Gentry is a certified medical illustrator and principal of Gentry Visualization, a studio specializing in the visual presentation of medical, scientific, and technical subjects. Representative
clients include Merck, Eli Lilly and Company, Avery Dennison Medical, McGraw-Hill,
Quality Medical Publishing, The National Institutes of Health, American College of Rheumatology, and
Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Projects include illustration for print and web
publication, legal exhibition,
device, and product design.
Prior to founding Gentry Visualization in 2001, Jennifer
was Designer of Prosthetics at Coloplast Corporation. She developed a paradigm
for the design of soft tissue customized prosthetics utilizing computer
and robotic techniques. She also led the research, design and branding of
several breast prosthesis products.
Jennifer holds an MA in Medical Illustration from Johns Hopkins University
School of Medicine and a BA, with Honors in Art from Wake Forest University.
She is a Lecturer in the Department of Art and the Department of Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise at Wake Forest University. Born and raised in Southern California, she presently
lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
